Monday March 14th – First Year Football
Ardscoil drew with St. Declans in an exciting game played in Alfie Byrne Park today. The team remains on course to qualify for the quarter finals.
Thursday March 10th – U14 Hurling
For the second year in a row Ardscoil went down to a last minute goal against St. Fintans. Qualification for the semis now depends on other results.
Tuesday March 8th – U18 Leinster B Hurling Final
Ardscoil managed to take today’s Leinster final against Colaiste Mhuire, Johnstown to extra time with a last second point from Sean Currie but the legs went and our Kilkenny opponents ran out 0-20 to 0-15 winners in the end. Congratulations to all the panel and to Mr. Mahony and Mr. Colgan on retaining the Dublin title this year.
Saturday March 5th – All Ireland Cross Country Athletics
Colin Sweeney of first year took the bronze medal in the minor race with a superb performance, the best for an Ardscoil athlete in a quarter of a century. Ian McAweeny of 2nd year finished 13th in the junior boys race. Congratulations to both boys and to all of our athletes on their successes during the year.
Friday March 4th – First Year Football
Ardscoil’s first years defeated St. Aidan’s by a whopping seven goals in the first game of the Tom Quinlan Cup competition today.
Tuesday March 2nd – U14 Hurling
The 14s suffered a second successive defeat, this time to St. Benildus in a game played in Alfie Byrne Park. They still remain in contention for a semi final spot and may well end up playing today’s opponents in that semi.
Monday March 1st – U16 Badminton Leinster Final
Ard Scoil’s U/16’s finished as runners up in the U/16 Leinster Badminton tournament today. Congratulations to the team, who received silver medals on the day
